WHO WE ARE

At CCLA—the Co-Creative Leadership Alliance—we try to live a simple idea: who we are is how we work. Collaborative by default, always reaching for the rarer practice of co-creation.

We’re a multigenerational group of leadership and leadership-development practitioners from around the world. We bring different backgrounds, specialties, and perspectives—and we’re held together by a shared conviction: leadership is something practiced with others, not performed alone.

We formed the Alliance in response to something that’s no longer theoretical: our dependence on one another is a fact. The future will turn on whether leaders learn to lead from that truth—rather than from fear, scarcity, and zero-sum thinking.

Our aim is to help leaders learn and lead in ways that develop people as individuals—and just as importantly, expand the real possibilities of working well together in teams.

CCLA is a collective by design. We work and publish under one shared name because the work itself is collaborative—and because “together” isn’t a slogan for us; it’s the point.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our way of working, and being, is shaped by a set of shared core principles. Here are a few of the most important:

•   Working interdependently over going it alone

•    Promoting agency over empowerment

•    Honing leadership as a craft over courting control

•     Cultivating strong, positive working relationships over performative behavior

Everything we teach, write, and build is informed by these principles.

FAQs

Why do you publish as CCLA rather than individual authors?
Because we always seek to work collaboratively. We develop, test, and refine ideas together, and we want the focus to stay on the work—not on personalities.

Are you a company, a network, or something else?
We’re a collaborative alliance of practitioners, organized as a company. We write, design leadership learning experiences, and support leadership cohorts inside organizations—while also convening a broader community of practice through our forthcoming Co-Creative Leadership Institute.

Who is behind CCLA?
Again, we’re a collaborative alliance. We publish under one shared name to keep the focus on the work. We promise that whenever you engage with us directly, you’ll have a named point of contact for communication, coordination, and next steps. If you’re curious, reach out—we’d love to hear from you!

How do you work with organizations?
Typically by designing, developing, and delivering leadership learning experiences that strengthen collaborative working relationships, build trust, and improve team process. When helpful, we also support leadership transitions (new managers and beyond). Our engagements typically combine cohort-based learning, live workshops, and practical tools leaders can use immediately, tailored to your context and goals.

What should I do if I want to talk to someone?
Use our contact form on the website or send us an email at contactus-ccla-co@proton.me. We’ll connect you with the right person to answer your question or the right person to address your needs.

We’re Glad You’re Here…

Whether you’re deep in the work of leadership, exploring new ways to grow, or simply finding your footing, we’re glad you’re with us.

We hope you’ll spend some time with what we’ve built and, if it feels right, help us shape what comes next.

One of the primary ways we share what we’re learning is through our books. They’re not just content. They’re invitations into practice: grounded, usable ideas shaped by real experience, and written in service of our mission: to improve the way leadership is practiced, one leader, one team, and one organization at a time.

If you’d like a concrete introduction to our work, start with our books.
